| hey all, how are you doing? i am doing better now that i know my horse is ok...... he was kinda sick for a while, but the vet came out this morning and said that hes pretty much fine, jack's major problems consist of.....
1.his teeth-they were pretty sharp and not worn down properly and it didnt let him chew his food well enough and that didnt help with digestion, but we floated his teeth and now they shouldnt give him a problem, but we may have to float them every once in a while to keep them un-sharp....yeah, lol
2.sratches- he has what they call "scratches" on his heels, its like a scabby type of sore-ish thing that can get painful if not taken care of, and it hasnt been taken care of a lot, so we have some catching up to do
3.sunburned nose-very straightforward, no technical terms, he is a white horse mainly and has light pink skin on his nose and very fine white fur and his poor little nose burns and flakes off really bad
4. he's kinda skinny, but that might get better now that his teeth have been floated, but if it doesnt, we can always start him on some grain
yeah, that's basically it. that and the farrier is coming out today to take his remaining shoes off (he threw one or lost it somewhere in the pasture....probably in afight with tonto) and trim his hooves, and mrs. schmidt is gunna ask about his hooves being too dry (due to the fact that they are white) and if we might hafta get something for that too
yeah, horses arent as sturdy as they seem.....lol, but i love em to death, specially jack
now, im sure i have confused you all greatly, but trust me, it would ake too long to bother explaining all this when you prolly didnt even bother to read it, lol
